The crumble mixture in this recipe makes enough for 6 ramekin size desserts. It will keep in the fridge for more than a week so it is easy to create a quick dessert when you need it.
The timing in the recipe works for 2 ramekin size desserts. If you are cooking more, or a larger dish, the timing will need to be adjusted accordingly. Some suggestions are given in the recipe but the volume of the fruit will determine how long and how much microwave needs to be added.
METHOD:
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and rub in butter, or briefly run in a food processor until butter is still visible but in small chunks
(This crumble topping will keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.) - Add chopped fruit and honey/cinnamon if desired to a ramekin
- Place in oven on shelf 2 (middle shelf in a microwave combination oven)
- Preheat oven to 210c Fan Assisted Grill(Fan Assisted in Smeg)+ Microwave 210C 360W(or closest available) for 9 minutes
- For one large crumble keep the temperature and function and time the same but increase the microwave wattage to 600 watts.
If your Microwave combi does not go to 600 watts, increase the time to 15 minutes.
