Freezer Recipe: Easy No Churn Ice cream

This easy to make icecream is perfect when you need an easy dessert. To the base recipe you can add all sorts of flavourings and additions to make your own unique treat.  Add some berry coulis or try Cherry Jam and almonds, or Lemon Curd and gingernut crumb. Beware that fruit can freeze very hard so try using preserves, sauce  or jam instead of fresh fruit, as the sugar will keep the resulting mixture a bit softer.  Alcohol will also slow the freezing process.

METHOD

  1. Whip cream to soft peaks
  2. Mix in condensed milk and vanilla extract
  3. Spoon into a container suitable for freezing 
  4. Freeze for 4-6 hours or until firm. 
  5. If using the SMEG blast chiller, your icecream should be ready in 50-90 minutes depending on the additions .
