Product Feature: Save floor space - stack your laundry appliances

One of the benefits of a matching front-loading washing machine and heat pump dryer is the ability to stack them on top of each without worrying about venting. Gone are the days of wall mounting your dryer upside down above your top loader with a ventilation duct running through a wall or window!

Is there any special equipment needed to stack my laundry appliances?

Yes – you will need a stacking kit specifically designed for your model of washing machine and dryer. This is an accessory for your laundry that can be placed between the washing machine (which is always on the bottom) and the dryer. This ensures that your appliances are safely secured as a single, stable unit and the dryer won’t tip and damage the appliance or floor of your laundry room. As an added bonus, you’ll also save on floor space and reduce the amount of time spent crouched down loading and unloading laundry as you dryer will now be at waist height.

Can I just use a rubber mat between my washing machine and dryer instead of a stacking kit?

Rubber mats that can absorb vibrations between a washer and dryer are available but we do not recommend them as they do not offer the same level of stability as a dedicated stacking kit.

Are there different types of stacking kits available?

Manufacturers offer specific stacking kits for their appliances and some even include additional useful features such as a drawer for storage or pull-out shelf to hold your laundry basket or detergent when loading your washing machine.
