Its possible to cook most cake recipes with just steam. The result will be a little different than you get when cooking with dry air but they will be equally delicious.
METHOD
Chocolate Cake
- In a saucepan dissolve sugar, milk, butter, chocolate and condensed milk over a low heat.
- Allow to cool.
- Combine flour and cocoa powder.
- Add the flour/cocoa mixture and egg mixture alternately and mix until well combined.
- Pour the final mixture into greased muffin tins.
- Steam at 100C for 20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted.
Chocolate Ganache
- Melt the chocolate and then add cream, stirring until combined. Chill until ready to use.
- Finally, top the cooled chocolate cakes with the chilled ganache and serve with cherry coulis and whipped cream.
