
Of course you can easily cook these without added steam, but the addition of steam helps ensure the drumsticks (which can easily become dry if overcooked in a regular oven) are moist and juicy and the marinade really infuses through the meat.
Marinating in a ziplock bag or even better with a vacuum drawer means you can really infuse the marinade into the chicken easily and cleanly and it takes less space in the fridge too.
This recipe serves 4 as a main course
METHOD
- Mix all marinade ingredients into large bowl or large ziplock bag.
- Add drumsticks and coat thoroughly. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Remove chicken from marinade and place on baking tray.
- set your oven to Top and Bottom/ Static or FanAssisted 200c 25 minutes with 60% steam.
- Preheat Oven, and insert Drumsticks in the top half of the oven
- Cook 25 minutes or until cooked through

1 chilli chopped finely
2 tspn smoked paprika
