Kitchen Things products are available for delivery across all regions of New Zealand and our  team is proud to offer exceptional customer service nationwide. With us, your premium appliance purchases are in safe, capable hands. We also offer installation services in many areas as well as unpacking of appliances upon delivery and removal of packaging and used appliances for recycling. Availability

Some appliance deliveries may take longer than usual depending on stock availability. To ensure you have the most up-to-date information while making your Kitchen Things purchase decisions, we have added availability indicators to each of our products online.

  • Stock Available this product is in stock at our warehouse, or our supplier’s warehouse, and is ready to ship to you.
  • Available to Order these items are currently available from our suppliers. Once an order is placed we will confirm your exact delivery date.
  • Pre-Order these items are available for purchase from a scheduled shipment. If you would like to know more about pre-orders please contact our sales team or chat with us now.
  • On-order if you purchase these items, you will be allocated a product from the next shipment into New Zealand. If you would like to know more about back orders please contact oursales team or chat with us now.
  • Clearance this product is in stock at Kitchen Things but end-of-line and no longer available from our suppliers. Clearance product may not be available in all stores and occasionally only ‘open-box’ or 'ex-display' stock will remain. Click ‘Chat now!’ to find out more.

Unpack, Placement and Disposal of Packaging - FREE

·   Unpacking, placement of appliance and appropriate recycling and disposal of the cardboard, polystyrene and other packaging. 

·   This service is offered as part of any Metro Delivery, but we may not offer this service for rural deliveries.

 

Product Removal - $40.00

·   At the same time as delivering your new appliance, we are able to remove your old applaince.

·   We will also recycle and dispose of your old appliance for you. 

·   We just ask that it has been disconnected, pulled out of the cavity, emptied of any of your items and ready to go when our team arrives with your new appliance.

·   Please email through any additional details or include it in your order notes and we will arrange this alongside your delivery. 

 

Difficult Access Surcharges - Prices vary

· Delivery charges may increase for locations with challenging access, such as stairs, narrow pathways, or uneven surfaces, which require additional time or resources. This could involve a second delivery team, the need to unpack or remove doors to facilitate entry into the home. Here are some but not limited to scenarios where additional charges may apply: 

· Stair Navigation Fee: A fee is applicable for carrying large, heavy items up more than 5 steps. However, there is no charge for smaller, easily manageable items like cooktops.

· Challenging Access Routes: Extra charges may apply for deliveries to locations without paved access, where manual transport over distances or unstable surfaces is necessary.

· Elevator/Lift Unavailability: Delivering to higher floors without suitable elevators or lifts can complicate or even prevent delivery for large orders.

· Tight Space Navigation: Delivery may be challenging in spaces with tight corners and sharp turns, especially for kitchens located on upper floors.

It's important to understand that "difficult access" encompasses a variety of situations and conditions, and the fee may or may not apply in every case. Our Scheduling team will be inquiring about potential obstacles during job bookings, but the true extent of access difficulties is often only discoverable by our team upon arrival at the site. These points should serve as examples but not limited to for identifying difficult access scenarios.

*Installation of any appliance does not include the supply and/or installation of semi or fully integrated cabinetry or rangehoods.

Nationwide Small Appliance Delivery - $18.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 3-5 business days

·   Small Appliances include: Kettles, Toasters, Blenders, Stand Mixers, Small Appliance Packages, Benchtop Coffee Machines and Accessories

 

Nationwide Microwave Delivery - $60.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 3-5 business days

·   Includes Benchtop and Convection Microwaves. Does not include Built-in Microwaves.

 

Domestic appliances

Metro Delivery - $109.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 1-5 business days

·   Includes unpack, placement and disposal of packaging of your new appliance

 

Metro Laundry Appliance Delivery and Installation - $149.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

 Metro Kitchen Appliance Delivery and Installation - $199.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 1-5 business days

·   Includes unpack, placement and disposal of packaging of your new appliance

·   Includes installation and connection of dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, refrigerators and freezers to existing electrical sources and water supplies by qualified technicians*

 

  Metro Multiple Appliance Delivery and Installation - $249.00 (excluding gas)

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 1-5 business days

·   Includes unpack, placement and disposal of packaging of your new appliance

·   Includes installation and connection of appliances to existing electrical sources and water supplies by qualified technicians*

 

Metro Gas Cooktop Appliance Delivery and Installation - $529.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 1-5 business days

·   Includes unpack, placement and disposal of packaging of your new appliance

·   Includes connection to compliant existing gas & electrical connections

·   Includes conversion to LPG kit and Gas Certificate.

·   Excludes LPG regulator and bottle.

·   Additional costs may be incurred subject to gas compliance.

 

 Metro Gas Freestanding Oven Appliance Delivery and Installation - $749.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 1-5 business days

·   Includes unpack, placement and disposal of packaging of your new appliance

·   Includes connection to compliant existing gas & electrical connections

·   Includes conversion to LPG kit and Gas Certificate.

·   Excludes LPG regulator and bottle.

Rural Appliance Delivery - $139.00

·   Available: Monday – Friday

·   Delivery timeframe: 3-5 business days

·   Does not include installation or connection costs. See below & contact us for pricing of these services for rural areas.

·   Does not apply to Stewart Island, Chatham Islands or Great Barrier Island.

 

Other Services

Electrical Installation Upgrade Assessment - $199.00

·   A Jones Services Electrician will visit to assess the current installation wiring. Upon completion of the assessment, a quote for any required upgrades will be provided.

·   This fee covers assessment & call out fee only, does not include any materials needed for the electrical upgrade, such as wiring, plugs etc.

·   Does not include installation of a product & will be charged separately if the quote is accepted.

·   Recommended for example, when upgrading to a induction cooktop, or pyrolytic oven.

Free Metro delivery is generally defined as the metropolitan area of the following cities, within normal metro postcodes in New Zealand: Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch - more specifically, 25kms of a Kitchen Things store, excluding offshore islands (such as Waiheke, Great Barrier) is what we refer to as a Metro delivery location. Free local delivery

Any products purchased directly from Kitchen Things that are advertised as “free local delivery” will be delivered free of charge within 25kms of any Kitchen Things store, excluding offshore islands such as Waiheke Island or Great Barrier Island. Delivery fees may be incurred outside of these geographic limits.

Kitchen Things is an agent for Miele, Gaggenau & NEFF. This means we facilitate the sale but the vendor of the goods is the manufacturer/importer of the goods and it is their conditions of sale and delivery charges that apply.
