Steam Combi Recipe: Honey Steam Roasted Carrots

Vegetables such as Carrots, Beetroot and Parsnips really benefit from roasting with added steam.
They are deliciously caramelised but retain their moisture and dont end up hard and fibrous

 

METHOD

  1. Mix all ingredients and toss carrots in mixture
  2. Set oven to Circulaire/Hot Air + Steam 50% Humidity (Steam Combi level 2 in Asko) 180c
  3. Place carrots on solid tray
  4. Cook 25 minutes or till tender.

1-2 bunch baby carrots, scrubbed and trimmed
2T honey
1/4 cup orange juice
2T rubbed thyme
Pinch white pepper
2 T olive oil
