Airfry Vege Crisps

Airfry Vege Crisps

There is nothing difficult about these except perhaps eating them faster than you can cook them. Make the most of your ovens Airfry function and cook your own vege crisps . Much cheaper and more healthy than the shop bought equivalent. The thinner you cut these, the faster they will cook but also the quicker they will brown so make adjusments as you cook to suit your vegetables.  Potatoes tend to brown the quickest so lower the temperature and turn half way through to prevent sticking to the tray 

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven on Aifry function to 130-140c 
  2. Using a mandolin or a wide peeler, cut vegetables into 1mm thick  or finer strips or rounds . 
  3. Spray lightly with olive oil spray and sprinkle with desired seasoning.
  4. Place vegetables on a single layer on the airfry tray and cook for 15-30 minutes or until nearly crisp and starting to brown.
  5. Turn when the vegetables start to dry out.
  6. Remove from oven, the chips will crisp up further as they cool 
  7. Season further if desired.

Ingredients

Sliceable vegetables as desired, eg: Kumara, carrot, beetroot, parsnip 
Olive oil Spray
Salt and or seasoning mix such as garlic or other flavoured salt.
